Getting To Leeds Airport

By Public Transport

Train:

There are no rail terminals at the airport, there are stations at Leeds (Leeds City Rail Station), Bradford & York (York City Station) that passengers can use. At Leeds City Rail station the bus route 757 offers a direct link from the station to & from the airport. At Bradford Forster Square station there is the bus route 747 that offers a link to the airport. At York City station that York Air Coach offers direct links to & from the airport. Bus & Coach:
From Bradford: There are bus services operated by Metroconnect, the route 747 offers passengers a direct link between the airport and Bradford Forster Square train station, Apperley Bridge, Rawdon and Yeadon. The 737 bus service operates on an hourly frequency between Bradford and the Airport going through Shipley, Guiseley and Yeadon.

By Car
Leeds Bradford International airport is located between Leeds and Bradford it is around 8 to 9 miles away from both Leeds & Bradford, the closest town is Yeadon. The airport is accessible several main roads including the M1 and M62 motorways, the A1 & A658. On all of these roads the airport is clearly signposted.

Airport Car Parking

Leeds airport has facilities for both Short Term & Long Term Car Parking. Short term There is a facility allowing parking for up to 10 minutes for no cost, this is useful if you are dropping off someone to the airport or picking them up after they are out of the terminal building. The minimum cost of parking at the short term car park is £2.50 for up to 20 minutes, the cost is £6 for 2 hours and nearly £9 for 3 hours. Short term parking cannot be pre booked currently.

Long Term parking is available, charges start from £29 for up to 2 days if you pay on the day you arrive. There are also car parks located on outskirts of the airport and near by offering long term parking facilities. There is usually a free bus service for car parks located a few miles away from the airport taking passengers to & from the car park & airport. Cheaper prices & discounts are available if you book earlier, if you do need long term airport parking it is well worth booking in advance rather than on the day to both guarantee a parking space and save money on parking costs.
