Getting To Edinburgh Airport

By Public Transport

Train: There are no train terminals at the airport itself, the closest train stations are Edinburgh Waverley station and Edinburgh Haymarket station that is well connected to the bus network. Bus & Coach:

There are a number of regular bus services between Edinburgh airport and the city centre. The bus stands are located outside the UK arrivals lounge terminal building. From here a number of services such as the No.100 offer services between Edinburgh city centre and the airport. The frequency is around every 10 minutes at peak times and every half hourly at off peak times. There are other bus services run by Lothian buses that passenger can also use to make their way to and from the airport via the city centre. By Car Edinburgh Airport is located around eight miles from the city centre close to the M8 & M9 motorways. For those driving from the Edinburgh city, get on the A8 at the city by pass & follow the drive towards Glasgow. The airport is signposted on the A8. If you are driving from the north or west, join on to the A8 at the Newbridge roundabout and head towards Edinburgh & then follow the signs for the airport.

Airport Car Parking

Edinburgh airport has facilities for both Short Term & Long Term Car Parking. Short term The short term parking charges start from £1.50 for 15 minutes going to £2.50 for 15 to 30 minutes and £7.50 for 3 to 4 hours.

Long Term parking is available the price is approx £7 for up to one day paying if you book on the day. Cheaper prices & discounts are available if you book earlier, if you do need long term airport parking it is well worth booking in advance rather than on the day to both guarantee a parking space and save money on parking costs.
