Getting To Cardiff Airport

By Public Transport

Train: There is a rail link connecting Rhoose Cardiff International Airport station to Cardiff Central and Bridgend. The trains run on an hourly frequency from Monday to Saturday, note the frequency on Sundays is two hourly. Travellers can use the shuttle bus services that are free to those with valid train tickets, taking passengers from the train to the airport terminal. Bus & Coach: There are buses that run between Cardiff Central station and Cardiff International Airport, the frequency is once and hour from Monday to Saturday during the day and once every two hours on Sundays. For more information please see: Airport Bus Timetable

The National Express coach service operates direct services to Cardiff Central bus station. From the station passengers can use train, bus and taxi to get to the airport. For further details please see:National Express Coaches


By Car: Cardiff airport is located close to Rhoose in the Vale of Glamorgan, it is 12 miles to the west of Cardiff in Wales. From the M4 exit at junction 33 and follow the signs for Cardiff International Airport on the A4232, at Culverhouse Cross take the first exit and follow the signs to the airport driving along both the A4050 and A4226.

Airport Car Parking

Cardiff airport has facilities for both Short Term & Long Term Car Parking. Short term There is a facility that allows free parking for up to 20 minutes in the short stay parking, this is ideal if you are dropping off someone of collecting them from the airport. If you are going to be staying for longer the charges start at £1.60 for 30 minutes to £8 for 4 hours.

Long Term parking is available the price is approx £14 per day is you book on the day. Cheaper prices are available if you book earlier, if you do need airport parking it is well worth booking in advance rather than on the day to both guarantee a parking space and save money on parking costs.
