London has a number of parks that vary in size from compact to large; many of the larger parks started out in royal estates and hunting grounds.

Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens are both located in central London and both offer scenic green spaces in the heart of the city, the parks are popular with walkers, joggers, families and provide a great place to enjoy a stroll and a picnic.

Regent's Park is one of the best known and loved parks in the capital located to the north of central London; visitors can enjoy the open green space providing a great place for a walk and picnic. The park is also home to London Zoo; that includes one of the largest collection of animals in the UK.

Other parks and green spaces include Hampstead Heath in north central London known for its inspiring views from the Parliament Hill area. Richmond Park located to the west of central London provides a large and scenic green space and is well known for its deer population and is a firm favourite among cyclists.

London has its fair share of outstanding museums and art galleries; some museums have free entry others charge a fee. Among the best known museums are the British Museum, Natural History Museum and Victoria and Albert Museum.

Art Galleries include the renowned Tate Britain, Tate Modern and National Portrait Gallery; a visit to the various museums and art galleries offers visitors a cost effective, enjoyable and informative day out for the whole family.

With its rich culture, history and standing as a great world city, London has plenty to offer visitors with a diverse range of attractions and places of interest that will appeal to all tastes.
