The modern apartments offer luxurious 4 star accommodation close to Liverpool city centre close to historic Albert Dock and the Liverpool ONE shopping centre. The apartments are close by to Liverpool’s colourful Chinatown and midway between Liverpool’s two cathedrals. The apartments offer a genuine alternative to staying in hotels offering more space, flexibility and privacy.

Local transport links in the area include Liverpool Central train station located a few minutes walk from the hotel; where there are services to the surrounding areas including to New Brighton, West Kirby, Southport and Chester. Both Liverpool Lime Street and Liverpool James Street stations are located within one mile of the apartments. The main Liverpool Lime Street station has services to local areas and further to Manchester, Sheffield, Birmingham and to London. The hotel is close by to major roads including the A562 and M62 providing good road connections.

Visitors can expect a friendly welcome and good levels of concierge service at the apartments. The apartments are is located to the south of Liverpool city centre where visitors can find access to local amenities. Liverpool offers visitors a range of shopping facilities, eateries, cafes, bars, pubs, restaurants and entertainment venues. The closest train stations are located at Liverpool Central, Liverpool Lime Street and Liverpool James Street.


Facilities


There are 5 apartments that include one and two bedroom apartments. The apartments are decorated and furnished to a good standard offering generous space and more privacy than hotel rooms.

Apartment facilities include television, radio, alarm clock, CD/DVD player, work desk, fully featured kitchen including refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, cutlery, towels and crockery. There is a daily maid service at the apartments.

There is currently no internet access at the apartments. There are parking facilities for apartment guests the approx cost is £10 per day.

Dining


The apartments provide accommodation only, for meals there is a fully featured kitchen and local food stores located close by for guests wishing to use the self catering option. Liverpool has a range of bars and pubs and entertainment venues located in the city centre area.

There are a choice of eateries, cafes and restaurants in Liverpool where visitors can enjoy cuisine from around the world including British, Italian, Chinese, Indian, Thai, modern European and International. There are restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets from fast food to family restaurants to fine cuisine.

Local Attractions


The hotel provides a good location for exploring attractions in Merseyside and local places of interest.

The hotel’s location to the south of Liverpool city centre in Merseyside provides visitors with a convenient location from which to see the various sights and attractions both in the city and in the Merseyside region. Merseyside offer visitors with plenty of coastline and beaches away from the crowds, with a range of landscapes, a rich history and culture along with some scenic English countryside making it place well worth visiting.

There are a number of local attractions and places of interest located in the local area. Shopping facilities are located close by the large Liverpool ONE shopping centre and the Clayton Square Shopping Centre offer a range of shops including famous high street names

The Museum of Liverpool is located less than one mile away, there are a range of interesting exhibitions, collections and artefacts on the rich history of the city. The O2 Academy Liverpool is located 15 minutes walk away and offers a wide ranging programme of live music throughout the year.

The Cavern Club is located approx 10 minutes walk from the hotel; the rock and roll club is famous for its long association with the Beatles and attracts many Beatles fans each year.

The Liverpool Empire and Everyman Theatres are both located within 15 minutes walk of the hotel. Both theatres offer a varied programme of performances in the arts with live drama, comedy and shows.

The City of Liverpool is the largest city in the Merseyside region, in 2008 the city was the European capital of culture, the title acted as a catalyst for much renovation and modernisation of the city. The city is recognised as a leader in the arts and culture.

Liverpool has two Cathedrals that attract many visitors each year these are the Anglican Cathedral and the Metropolitan Cathedral, both cathedrals are fine examples of internationally acclaimed architecture. The World Museum contains historic artefacts from around the world; it provides an interactive experience for the whole family. The Walker Art Gallery that holds one of the most distinguished collections of fine and decorative art. The collection of galleries range from the Renaissance period to contemporary works.

Liverpool has been a designated a World Heritage Site since 2004. The Liverpool World Heritage Site is formally known as Liverpool Maritime Mercantile City with the main part of the designated site located at the famous Liverpool waterfront. In total there are six main areas that form the site including the Albert Dock and the Commercial Centre and Cultural Quarter among others. Historically Liverpool was an extremely important thriving port city during the empire days, historical building reflect this influential status with a number of acclaimed historic buildings. Liverpool is well known for the acclaimed architecture outlined by the fact the city has more listed buildings than any city outside London.

The Tate Liverpool opened back in 1988 and has since built up a fine reputation displaying a range of contemporary and modern art along with displays from the Tate collection including works from a number of British and international artists.

Liverpool's Albert Docks were built back in 1846, once a thriving port in recent years they have been renovated and are once again among Liverpool’s biggest attractions. Visitors can find some of the finest museums in the city here along with a choice of cafes and restaurants. The area has a continental feel to it and has plenty for visitors to do including the famous Beatles Story, the Maritime Museum and HM Customs & Excise National Museum.

Shopping in Liverpool offers shoppers with plenty of options. There is high street shopping at Bold Street and Church Street, there are also shopping malls such as Liverpool ONE. The Metquarter is home to a range of designer stores in Liverpool, Cavern Walks has a number of stylish boutiques, and Albert Dock offers a choice of shops.

Southport resort dates back to the late 18th century; it is a popular resort attracting many visitors for its beach and coastline. The town is well known for its gardens, parks and fashionable shops, there are a number of championship golf courses in the area including Royal Birkdale. The Botanic Gardens Museum contains a fine collection of Victoriana and includes information on the local history. The Atkinson Art Collection houses a fine collection of 19th and 20th century paintings and sculpture. The Lawn Mower Museum in Shakespeare Street offers visitors the chance to explore something out of the ordinary.

The Wayfarers Arcade is a shopping arcade located in Southport town centre, set in a Grade II listed building there are over 30 stores to choose from. Historic Lord Street in the town centre is the centre of shopping in the area with a range of stores, eateries, cafes and restaurants. Lord Street is known for its gardens, water features and interesting architecture of its historic buildings.

Meols Hall is located a few miles from South town centre; the 12th century manor house is a popular venue for weddings, during times in the summer visitors can take a guided tour of the impressive house to learn more about the rich history of the house. Southport Pleasureland is an amusement park located close by and features a range of roller coasters, rides and attractions. The Lakeside Miniature Railway is located close to the seafront in Southport; the railway is open from Easter until late October each year on a 1.5km track.

Annual events include the Southport Air Show held in summer each year featuring a range of aircraft both military and civilian; visitors can see a number of interactive and educational displays and experience aircraft simulators. The Southport Flower Show is held in late summer each year and is currently the largest independent flower show in the UK featuring a range of displays, exhibitors and events.

The Wirral is a peninsula that points out into the Irish Sea; the Wirral Way is a path on the track of an old railway, and goes from West Kirby to Hooton. West Kirby and Hoylake are located towards the end of the Wirral peninsula and include miles of award winning sandy beaches and some spectacular views of North Wales across the border. Visitors can walk from West Kirby to the Hibre Islands, which are only islands for a few hours each day, at the islands visitors can see seals and migratory birds. Wirral Country Park provides an enjoyable day out for the family worth a visit with plenty of great wildlife in the woodland areas and has scenic views of the Clwydian Mountains.

New Brighton in the Wirral is a seaside town located approx 6 miles from Liverpool. The traditional resort is one of Merseyside’s main pleasure grounds; it hosted the Wirral Show, an annual event that boasted one of the largest outdoor funfairs in the UK, the show ceased in 2009, however visitors can still enjoy taking a relaxing stroll on the New Brighton seafront, the beach is less crowded than many others across the UK. There is also the historic Lighthouse and Fort visitors can see.

The suburb of Birkenhead is located a few miles from Liverpool and became well known for its shipbuilding industry. Birkenhead can be reached by both ferry from Liverpool and by tunnel that goes under the Mersey. The Wirral Museum is now in the former Town Hall in Birkenhead and showcases the history of the area with a range of exhibitions that include the Romans and arts and crafts.

Ness Botanic Gardens are located in Neston, South Wirral approx 12 miles from Liverpool. The gardens are well known for the collections of alpine and hardy plants. There are a range of tropical and arid plants in over 60 acres of grounds and greenhouses. There is a commitment to maintain and develop the beauty of the Gardens and great importance placed on research, conservation and education of the public. The gardens offer visitors a wonderful place to enjoy a stroll and learn more about horticulture.

Knowsley Safari Park is located approx 10 miles from Liverpool, here there are a range of animals including lions, tigers, rhinos, buffalos, camels, emus and more. There are a number of amusement rides, Mizzy Lake Farm with farmyard animals, sea lion show and woodland walk area of mixed woodland. There is plenty to see and do for the whole family in a fun day out.

The World of Glass museum is located in the town of St Helens in Merseyside approx 13 miles from Liverpool. The museum showcases the history of glass from 500BC up to the present day; visitors can see a number of impressive demonstrations and see the galleries along with the visually stunning special effects film show. The Victorian Cone Building and tunnels beneath show the Victorian glassmaking furnace and how it helped to revolutionise glass making. The museum offers an educational and enjoyable day out.
