Local transport links in the area include London Charing Cross train station located a short walk away with access to regular services across London and the surrounding areas and there is good access to local bus and major roads. The Heathrow Express is available from Paddington station located approx 2 miles away, offering regular services to and from Heathrow Airport, the journey time is 15 minutes.

The closest Underground (Tube) station is located a few minutes walk away at Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square, both stations offer quick access across London.

The hotel offers visitors warm welcome, high levels of service and attention to detail. The hotel is located in the West End of London where visitors can find easy access to local amenities. The West End area is close by to Mayfair, Soho and Covent Garden, the areas are among the most popular among visitors to London offering visitors with a choice of shops, boutiques, cafes, restaurants and entertainment facilities. The closest train stations are located at London Charing Cross, Waterloo and Waterloo East.


Facilities


There are a total of 108 guest bedrooms at the hotel. The rooms all offer en-suite facilities and are furnished and decorated to a good standard. Guests can choose from standard, deluxe and executive rooms and there are junior suites available for those after more space and luxury.

Room facilities include air conditioning, LCD television with freeview channels, telephone, alarm clock, radio, toiletries, hairdryer, iron and ironing facilities, trouser press, work desk, mini fridge, in room safe and tea and coffee making facilities.

There is Wi-Fi internet access available at the hotel (chargeable). There are no on site car parking facilities, however there are car parks located close by, these include the Trafalgar car park on Cockspur Street/Spring Gardens with a cost of £40 per day. The Titan car park is located on Whitecomb Street close by to the hotel.

Dining


Each morning guests can enjoy a hearty full English breakfast or a Continental breakfast including a choice of breads, pastries, preserves, cereals, fruits, juices and hot and cold drinks.

The Gravity Bar offers guests a place where they can sit back and relax with a choice of drinks and snacks. The relaxed atmosphere here makes it a great place to catch up with family; friends and colleagues. There are a choice of drinks available ranging from soft drinks to beers, wines, spirits and cocktails and there is a bar menu offering a range of snacks and light meals.

The Squares Restaurant is a stylish restaurant where diners can relax and enjoy good quality food and wine in relaxed surroundings. The restaurant offers a range of meat, fish and vegetable dishes featuring both British and European cuisine. There is an impressive wine list to help find the perfect accompaniment to your meal. In the summer months diners can enjoy al fresco dining on the Terrace.

The hotel is situated in London’s famous West End offering a fine central location from which to see the various sights and attractions of one of the world’s great cities. London offers something for everyone there are a huge range of local shops specialising in local arts and crafts along with larger department stores and a variety of bars, restaurants and entertainment facilities.

There are a number of local attractions and places of interest close by to the hotel, the National Gallery, Trafalgar Square and Leicester Square are located a short walk away.

The British Museum and the London Transport Museum are both in the area, other attractions include Buckingham Palace located one mile away and the London Trocadero, Theatre Royal Haymarket and Prince of Wales Theatre located walking distance away.

Regent’s Park is located a couple of miles away is well known for its tranquil environment, scenic green open space and the boating lake, there are also attractions such as London Zoo located here. Madame Trussauds is located close to Regent’s Park.

Knightsbridge is well known for the famous luxury department stores Harrods and Harvey Nichols; both are located within 2 miles of the hotel. For fashionistas there are also a number of exclusive designer boutiques in Sloane Street. The Science Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum and Natural History Museum are all located within 2 miles of the hotel or a short tube ride away.

Kensington Palace and Gardens are located just over 3 miles away. Marble Arch and the iconic shopping streets of Oxford Street, Regent Street and Bond Street are located under 2 miles away. The West End and Theatreland is located 1 mile away, the London Eye, Westminster Abbey, Houses of Parliament and Big Ben are all within 1.5 miles of the hotel. The attractions are easily accessible via a short taxi ride or the tube.

The World Heritage Site at Maritime Greenwich includes a number of famous attractions such as the Royal Observatory and the National Maritime Museum, among others and is located 8 miles to the east.

The world famous Hyde Park is located 1.5 miles from the hotel, the park offers a wonderful landscape in central London covering an area of 350 acres offering a great place to enjoy a number of walks, take part in boating, enjoy horse riding, rollerblading and eating out. Famous sights such as Marble Arch are within walking distance from Hyde Park.

Shopping in London offers visitors a huge choice of shopping facilities, the capital is home to some of the most famous shopping streets in the world including Oxford Street and Regent Street. To the east of London is the Docklands area including the Canary Wharf area containing some of the tallest buildings in London. Other areas of interest include Whitechapel famous for its outdoor market and Tower Hill where you can find the famous Tower Bridge and historic Tower of London. East London is also the site for the 2012 London Olympics with main site in Stratford.

West London and surrounding areas offers Windsor Castle, an official residence of the Queen and Eton College, one of the oldest and most prestigious schools in the UK. The world renowned Kew Gardens, one of the world’s leading botanic gardens containing a huge range of plants and fungi. Twickenham is home to the rugby stadium and fascinating Museum of Rugby. Kensington Palace is a firm favourite among visitors well known as the home of the late Diana, Princess of Wales.

Central London contains some of the world’s best known districts; Covent Garden, Soho, Mayfair, Piccadilly and Westminster are all located relatively close to each other. The area is also a shopper’s paradise with Oxford Street, Regent Street and Bond Street among others to explore. Close by is fashionable Carnaby Street that came to symbolise the swinging sixties. London contains many markets including famous ones such as Covent Garden Market and Portobello Road Market to many smaller ones offering visitors with plenty of choice.

The city of London square mile area is home to many financial institutions based in London. There is an extraordinary concentration of banks from all over the world, insurance firms and all types of financial institutions.

There are a number of fine historical buildings here such as Westminster Abbey located in central London. There is also Buckingham Palace in the area, possibly the most famous palace in the world, visitors can go on guided tours so see inside the palace.

The hotel provides a convenient place from which to discover a range of attractions in the surrounding areas both in central London and the outer suburbs. Visitors can use a variety of modes of transport to get around ranging from using taxis to public transport with buses, trains, Underground (Tube) and cycling with cycling hire stations available across the capital.

The hotel is well located for exploring a range of London’s attractions and the attractions in neighbouring areas. In Kent attractions include historic Leeds Castle, Chartwell House and the World Heritage Sites in Canterbury. Surrey is home to Hampton Court Palace, Wisley Gardens and the towns of Richmond known for Richmond Park and Guildford known for its royal castle. East Sussex is known for the south coast with the city of Brighton located one hour from London.
