The iconic hotel building dates back over a century and retains many Edwardian period features adding to the considerable charm and character of the hotel. The central London location in the heart of London’s West End means the hotel is well located for both business and leisure close to the financial district and the leisure and entertainment in the West End and surrounding areas. There is good access to a number of attractions and famous landmarks, public transport services and major roads.

The hotel offers a range of facilities for business meetings and events making the hotel suitable for both business and leisure guests.

The hotel is close by to a number of local attractions and places of interest in the capital. Local transport links in the area include London Charing Cross train station located a short walk away with access to regular services across London and the surrounding areas and there is good access to local bus and major roads. The Heathrow Express is available from Paddington station located approx 4 miles away, offering regular services to and from Heathrow Airport, the journey time is 15 minutes.

The closest Underground (Tube) station is located a few minutes walk away at Covent Garden and Temple, both stations offer quick access across London.

The hotel offers visitors warm welcome, high levels of service and attention to detail. The hotel is located in the Aldwych area of London where visitors can find easy access to local amenities. The Aldwych area is close by to Covent Garden, Mayfair, Soho and Theatreland offering visitors with a choice of shops, boutiques, cafes, restaurants and entertainment. There are close to 300 guest bedrooms at the hotel, all rooms offer en-suite facilities and are furnished and decorated to a high standard offering luxurious accommodation and facilities. Guests can choose from standard guest rooms, executive rooms, deluxe rooms and for the ultimate in luxury there are suites available. The rooms are mainly non-smoking, there are some smoking rooms available, there are also rooms with disabled access available and family friendly rooms. Room facilities include air conditioning, flat screen television with cable channels, telephone, hairdryer, iron and ironing facilities, toiletries, in room safe, mini-bar and tea and coffee making facilities.

There is Wi-Fi internet access available in the hotel (chargeable). Valet car parking facilities are available, the cost is approx £49 per day. There are alternative car parking facilities in the NCP car park at Drury Lane, approx cost is £36 per day. There is limited street parking close to the hotel.

There is an LA Fitness club located in the hotel; guests are given complimentary access to the various facilities at the fitness centre. The facilities include a swimming pool, fully featured gymnasium with cardiovascular equipment and weights and there is a sauna and steam room. Guests can enjoy some pampering with a range of beauty treatments at the beauty salon.

There is a business centre at the hotel open 24 hours a day offering faxing, photocopying, scanners, projectors, mobile phone hire and internet access. There is also an executive lounge and a range of facilities for business meetings, events and conferences with banqueting facilities for up to 400 delegates.

Guests can enjoy a hearty cooked full English breakfast or a Continental breakfast including a choice of breads, pastries, preserves, cereals, fruits, juices, yogurts and a range of hot and cold drinks.

The Homage Grand Salon Restaurant is a stylish and elegant restaurant where diners can sit in comfort and enjoy a quality fine dining experience. The restaurant offers a range of modern European dishes including a range of meat, fish and vegetable varieties and a temping dessert menu. There is an impressive wine list to help you find the perfect accompaniment to our meal.

The Homage Patisserie offers guests both morning coffee and afternoon tea in stunning surroundings, the room has a range of quality period furniture, fabrics and wood panelling. Afternoon tea with a range of cakes, pastries and teas is a particular highlight.

The Homage Bar is a place where guests can sit back and relax with a range of drinks on offer. There are a variety of beers, wines, spirits, cocktails and champagnes available, the stylish bar is an ideal place to catch up with friends, family and colleagues.

Local Attractions


The hotel provides a good base from which to explore a number of attractions in London and local places of interest.

The hotel is situated in the Aldwych area of London offering a fine central location from which to see the various sights and attractions of one of the world’s great cities. London offers something for everyone there are a huge range of local shops specialising in local arts and crafts along with larger department stores and a variety of bars, restaurants and entertainment facilities.

There are a number of local attractions and places of interest close by to the hotel, Covent Garden, the British Museum and the London Transport Museum are located a short walk from the hotel. Leicester Square is also walking distance away offering a range of shops, bars, restaurants and entertainment venues.

Somerset House is a short walk from the hotel and hosts a number of concerts and exhibitions each year. The iconic Trafalgar Square, the National Gallery and Piccadilly Circus are all within one mile of the hotel. Shaftsbury Avenue in the heart of Theatreland is a 10 minute walk away.

Regent’s Park is located under 2 miles away, it is well known for its tranquil environment, scenic green open space and the boating lake, there are also attractions such as London Zoo located here. Madame Trussauds is located close to Regent’s Park.

Knightsbridge is home to the famous luxury department stores Harrods and Harvey Nichols; both are located within 2 miles of the hotel. For fashionistas there are also a number of exclusive designer boutiques in Sloane Street. The Science Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum and Natural History Museum are all located within 2 miles of the hotel or a short tube ride away.

Kensington Palace and Gardens are located 4 miles away. Marble Arch and the famous shopping streets of Oxford Street, Regent Street and Bond Street are located just over two miles away. The West End and Theatreland is located under 2 miles away, the London Eye, Westminster Abbey, Houses of Parliament and Big Ben are all within 1.5 miles of the hotel. The World Heritage Site at Maritime Greenwich is located approx 8 miles to the east and includes a number of famous attractions such as the Royal Observatory, National Maritime Museum and more.

The world famous Hyde Park is located just over 2 miles away, the park offers a wonderful landscape in central London covering and area of 350 acres offering a great place to enjoy a number of walks, take part in boating, enjoy horse riding, rollerblading and eating out. Famous sights such as Marble Arch are within walking distance from Hyde Park.

Shopping in London offers visitors a huge choice of shopping facilities, the capital is home to some of the most famous shopping streets in the world including Oxford Street and Regent Street. Here visitors can find a wide range of stores to suit a range of budgets including famous department stores such as Selfridges, Marks & Spencer and House of Fraser.

London is a large city with many distinct areas offering a range of attractions. To the north of London visitors can find fashionable Camden famous for its markets and alternative style. Regents Park is one of London’s top attractions offering open green spaces perfect for enjoying walks and wildlife, open air theatre, London Zoo and a range of cafes and restaurants.

South London and the surrounding areas offer attractions such as Hampton Court Palace. Clapham is known for its choice of bars and restaurants and Croydon offers one of the largest shopping centres outside of central London. Wimbledon is located in South West London and is home to the world’s most famous tennis tournament, there is also a tennis museum to see.

To the east of London is the Docklands area including the Canary Wharf area containing some of the tallest buildings in London. Other areas of interest include Whitechapel famous for its outdoor market and Tower Hill where you can find the famous Tower Bridge and historic Tower of London. East London is also the site for the 2012 London Olympics with main site in Stratford.

West London and surrounding areas offers Windsor Castle, an official residence of the Queen and Eton College, one of the oldest and most prestigious schools in the UK. The world renowned Kew Gardens, one of the world’s leading botanic gardens containing a huge range of plants and fungi. Twickenham is home to the rugby stadium and fascinating Museum of Rugby. Kensington Palace is a firm favourite among visitors well known as the home of the late Diana, Princess of Wales.

Central London contains some of the world’s best known districts; Covent Garden, Soho, Mayfair, Piccadilly and Westminster are all located relatively close to each other. The area is also a shopper’s paradise with Oxford Street, Regent Street and Bond Street among others to explore. Close by is fashionable Carnaby Street that came to symbolise the swinging sixties. London contains many markets including famous ones such as Covent Garden Market and Portobello Road Market to many smaller ones offering visitors with plenty of choice.

The city of London square mile area is home to many financial institutions based in London. There is an extraordinary concentration of banks from all over the world, insurance firms and all types of financial institutions.

There are a number of fine historical buildings here such as Westminster Abbey located in central London. There is also Buckingham Palace in the area, possibly the most famous palace in the world, visitors can go on guided tours so see inside the palace.

The hotel provides a convenient place from which to discover a range of attractions in the surrounding areas both in central London and the outer suburbs. Visitors can use a variety of modes of transport to get around ranging from using taxis to public transport with buses, trains, Underground (Tube) and cycling with cycling hire stations available across the capital.

In Kent attractions include historic Leeds Castle, Chartwell House and the World Heritage Sites in Canterbury. East Sussex is known for the south coast with the city of Brighton located one hour from London.
