The hotel is located in a quiet residential area to the south of Edinburgh, where guests can expect a warm and friendly welcome. The hotel has been refurbished in recent years and has retained its original charm and character along with offering a range of modern comforts for guests.

Facilities

There are a total of 19 guest bedrooms offering en-suite facilities. Guests can choose from single, twin, double and triple rooms at the boutique hotel.

The historic building was built originally back in the 1860s, the building was converted in to a hotel in the 1940s. It should be noted the traditional nature of the building means there is no lift.

The guest bedrooms offer comfortable 3 star accommodation. Room facilities include air conditioning, LCD television, telephone, radio, alarm clock, hairdryer, iron and ironing amenities and coffee making facilities.

The hotel’s rooms and all public areas are all non-smoking in accordance with hotel policy.

There is free Wi-Fi internet access available at the hotel in public areas. There are free car parking facilities available on-site for hotel guests.

The hotel has 2 function rooms suitable for small and medium business meetings and conferences and can cater for up to 100 delegates.

Each morning guests can enjoy a hot full Scottish breakfast or a Continental breakfast with a choice of breads, preserves, cereals, fruits and hot and cold drinks.

The Conservatory Bistro offers guests a range of meals throughout the day and weather permitting the chance to enjoy dining alfresco in the garden. Guests can choose from the wine list to find the perfect accompaniment to their meals. The relaxed restaurant offers an enjoyable dining experience for guests.

The International bar offers guests a place to sit back and relax with a choice of drinks available. Drinks include a range of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks. The bar has a distinctly Scottish flavour and character. The relaxed traditional pub atmosphere makes it an ideal place to catch up with family, friends and colleagues.

The city centre is a 15 minute bus ride away and will take visitors to the famous sights and attractions Edinburgh is well known for. The famous Edinburgh Castle, Palace of Holyrood, Princes Street, Royal Mile and Edinburgh World Heritage Site are all located here.
