The Tempus at Tides hotel restaurant serves a choice of Welsh cuisine including a choice of starters, mains including meat, fish and vegetable dishes and a choice of tempting desserts. The restaurant uses locally sourced, fresh seasonal ingredients offering the best in Welsh cuisine. The restaurant has an informal atmosphere, where diners can sit back and enjoy the dining experience in contemporary surroundings and enjoy some inspiring views over Cardiff Bay.

The Tempus Bar is a place where guests can relax and unwind with a choice of drinks available including soft drinks, a choice of beers, wines, spirits and champagnes and there is live entertainment on Thursday and Friday nights.

Cardiff Castle is located in the heart of Cardiff city centre, 2 miles from the hotel. One of the best known attractions in the city there are 2,000 years of history to discover here. The castle is full of history and character dating back to Roman times, there are a number of tours of the castle available to help visitors better understand the rich history and heritage. The Interpretation Centre includes a film and exhibition looking at 2,000 years of castle history.

Personal audio guides are available for visitors to tour the battlements, wartime tunnels, Norman Keep, impressive Victorian apartments and the grounds. The historic St John the Baptist Parish Church located at St John Street in the city centre, 1.6 miles from the hotel. Dating back to the 12th century, the building is one of the oldest buildings in Cardiff that is still in use. Llandaff Cathedral cathedral located in Llandaff a short distance north of Cardiff city centre, 3.6 miles from the hotel. St David’s shopping centre is located 1.5 miles from the hotel.
