Visa Requirements

Business Customs and Etiquette

Business meetings should be made in advance, business attire is conservative and smart; technology based industries may dress in more casual dress. Greetings are usually with a handshake whilst maintaining eye contact. People are addressed using their title and surname and would need to wait to be invited before moving to first names. Trust and friendships are deemed important, punctuality for meetings is important.

English is used for international business, there are interpreters available if required. Decisions can take time due to bureaucracy and the hieratical nature of organisations so you may need to be patient.


Travel Advice and Tips

Trips to Lithuania usually pass without undue concern for business travellers and tourists like but there are points to note. Beware of pick pockets and the treat of car crime, do not leave valuables in the car. Ensure any valuables are not on public view, it is important to always remain vigilant and aware of your environment and surroundings.

Lithuania Weather & Climate

Lithuania has a humid continental climate overall the climate is temperate but is still subject to a large variations in temperature. The most popular time t visit is in the summer with warm, sunny days; the spring and autumn periods may also have relatively mild weather. The winter usually lasts November to March, the weather can be cold and harsh with plunging temperatures and heavy snowfall not uncommon.

Lightweight cotton and linen clothing can be warn in the summer months; medium weight clothing is required for spring and autumn. Heavy weight clothing and additional layers are required in the cold winter months. Rain wear with raincoats and umbrellas are useful throughout the year.
