Here there are a series of man made tunnels stretching for approx 20 miles to form a large complex of passageways and caverns that have been dug over the years. There are three main sections to the caves Druid, Roman and Saxon with each separate section connected to the other. Visitors can take a guided tour to learn more about the caves and its fascinating history, including its role in both World Wars.
The Museum of Kent Life is located in Maidstone, the open air museum contains a number of historical buildings that have been preserved and there are a number of exhibitions that detail life in Kent dating over 150 years.
