Getting To Birmingham Airport

By Public Transport

Train: Mainline train services from Birmingham New Street to Birmingham International for the airport takes around 15 minutes. There is a free Air-Rail link that runs every few minutes taking passengers from Birmingham International to the Airport Terminals making for quick access to the airport. Bus & Coach: There are frequent bus services taking you to and from the airport. Bus services start and end at the Bus Coach Terminus at Terminal 2, the routes start early in the morning until late (although to not operate overnight). For more information Network Midlands

By Car: The airport is eight miles from Birmingham city centre and is centrally located on the motorway network. The airport is close to the M42 junction 6 (just one mile away) and there are direct connections to the M1, M5, M6 & M40 making it convenient to travellers to get to other locations across the UK. The airport is signposted from the major roads and motorways. Being at the centre of the motorway network Birmingham gets travellers from across the region using the motorways & major roads, if you are getting to & from the airport you should allow plenty of time to do so.

Airport Car Parking

Birmingham airport has facilities for both Short Term & Long Term Car Parking. Short term car parking charges start from £1 for up to 15 Minutes stay going up to approx £18.00 for 24 hours stay. There is a rapid drop off facility where you can park for up to 20 minutes for £1, useful if you are dropping someone off at the airport however the charges after 20 minutes are steep £3 for every 15 minutes, if you are staying longer or need to it is better to park in the multi storey short term parking.

Long Term parking is available the price is approx £12 per day is you book on the day. Cheaper prices are available if you book earlier, if you do need airport parking it is well worth booking in advance rather than on the day to both guarantee a parking space and save money on parking costs.
