Getting To East Midlands Airport

By Public Transport

Train: There are no train terminals at the airport itself, the closest train stations are Derby, Loughborough & Nottingham that are a bus ride away from the airport. Bus & Coach: There are a range of options for passengers to get to the airport by bus, the nearby towns and cities all offer services.

The Nottingham Skylink allows passengers to travel to and from Nottingham on the direct Nottingham Skylink bus. The bus links the airport with Nottingham city centre and railway station, the frequency is every half an hour 7 days a week and 24 hours.

The Leicester Skylink allows passengers to travel to and from Leicester on the Leicester Skylink bus. The bus links the airport with Leicester the journey time is around one hour. The frequency is once an hour during day time and once every two hours at night.

The Derby Skylink allows passengers to travel to and from Derby to the Airport on the Derby Skylink bus. The bus links the airport with Derby city centre and Derby railway station. The frequency is every half an hour during day time and hourly at other times, 7 days a week.

The Loughborough Skylink allows passengers to travel to and from Loughborough to the Airport on the Loughborough Skylink bus. The bus links the airport with Loughborough town centre and Loughborough railway station. The frequency is every half hour during the day time and hourly at other times, 7 days a week.

By Car

Nottingham East Midlands Airport is located in the central region of England, it is close by to Derby, Leicester and Nottingham. On the M1 motorway drivers can take either junction 23a or 24 for the airport, the airport is signposted. For those using the M42, drive until the M42 becomes the A42 and you can then follow the signs for the airport.

Airport Car Parking

East Midlands airport has facilities for both Short Term & Long Term Car Parking. Short term There is a facility that allows free parking for up to 10 minutes in the short stay parking, this is ideal if you are dropping off someone of collecting them from the airport. If you stay over 10 minutes you will be subject to the parking charges that start at £1.60.

Long Term parking is available the price is approx £22 for up to 2 days paying if you book on the day. Cheaper prices are available if you book earlier, if you do need long term airport parking it is well worth booking in advance rather than on the day to both guarantee a parking space and save money on parking costs.
