The town of Spalding is 45 miles from Lincoln; the town is among the main bulb growing centres in the UK providing plenty of colour. In May locals celebrate the Spalding Flower Parade and horticultural enthusiasts can enjoy the Springfield Gardens.
Tattershall Castle is located 20 miles from Lincoln, the historic 15th century castle offers visitors with six floors to explore including four great chambers with huge Gothic fireplaces, tapestries and brick vaulting. There are some truly stunning views across the fens from the battlements and a guardhouse with museum room.
