Berkshire is located in South East England and is one of the home counties located close to London and the South West region. Prominent towns in the area include Reading, Windsor, Eton, Maidenhead and Bracknell.

Berkshire is well known for being the home of Windsor Castle, one of the official residences of the Queen and Eton College, the prestigious boarding school that has educated royalty and a number of British Prime Ministers. To the East the county is more urbanised, in the West it is more rural. The county includes a number of charming small towns and villages. Local attractions for visitors to explore include Windsor Castle, Highclere Castle, Legoland Windsor, Eton College, Dorney Court, Newbury Racecourse and Bekonscot Model Village. There are a number of historic buildings, castles, museums and galleries for visitors to explore in the area.
