The Ramada Elcot Park Newbury hotel is located in the Kennet Valley, set in 16 acres of scenic gardens and woodland, the 18th country house offers guests the chance to stay at a hotel with real character. Although located in scenic gardens the hotel is still close by to both the M4 motorway with links to London and Heathrow Airport and the A34 towards Southampton and South Coast.

Facilities

There are a total of 73 en-suite guest bedrooms at the hotel. The rooms are decorated and furnished to a good standard offering comfortable 4 star accommodation. Guests can choose from standard and executive rooms with a choice of twin, double and family rooms.

Room facilities include satellite flat screen television, telephone, radio, alarm clock, hairdryer, iron and ironing amenities, trouser press, work desk and tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel is non-smoking throughout in accordance with hotel policy.

Each morning guests can enjoy a hot full English breakfast or a Continental breakfast with a choice of breads, preserves, cereals, fruits and hot and cold drinks.

The Orangery restaurant offers a range of international dishes with a choice of meat, fish and vegetable dishes. The restaurant uses fresh, local produce to serve a range of tempting starters, mains and desserts. Guests can see some splendid views over the scenic Kennet Valley whilst dining.

The Orangery Bar offers guests a place to sit back and unwind with a choice of coffees and drinks including soft drinks, beers, wines and spirits. The bar and lounge area is n ideal place to catch up with family, friends and colleagues.

There is Wi-Fi internet access available at the hotel (chargeable). There are free car parking facilities available on-site for hotel guests.

The hotel is located 5 miles from Newbury and is close by to a number of local attractions and places of interest including Highclere Castle, Didcot Steam Railway, and Newbury Races. The location gives the best of the peace and quiet of the countryside whilst being close to transport links making the hotel a great place from which to explore the County of Berkshire and the surrounding areas. Swindon and Reading are both a short drive away and offer a range of shopping outlets, bars and restaurants whilst Hungerford and Marlborough have a number of interest antique shops to explore. The Kennet and Avon Canal offers the chance to enjoy a number of scenic walks in the English countryside.
