Getting To Southampton Airport

By Public Transport

Train:
The airport has a rail terminal the Southampton Airport (Parkway) Rail station, it is located within a short walk of the terminal building. The direct train link offers passengers a good option to get to and from Southampton airport. There are trains taking passengers to London Waterloo (journey time 65 to 70 minutes) via Winchester, Basingstoke, Woking and Clapham Junction. There are also services taking passengers towards Southampton, Bournemouth and Weymouth on the south coast. Bus & Coach:

The Uni-link U1C bus service offers passengers a link from the airport to Southampton city centre via the university. The frequency is every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 20 minutes at weekends. For more information on the timetables of the airport buses please see: Uni link Buses

By Car

Southampton airport is assessable from the M27 motorway off junction 5, the airport is less than one mile from the junction.

Those approaching from Southampton city centre should take the A335 that will take you to the airport.

Those approaching from the M3 motorway: Exit the M3 at junction 14 and take the M27 East heading towards Portsmouth and exit at junction 5 for the airport.

Airport Car Parking

Southampton airport has facilities for both Short Term & Long Term Car Parking. Short term The first 10 minutes in the short stay car park are free of charge making it useful for dropping off passengers or collecting them once they are out of the terminal building. The short stay parking charges start from £2.20 for 30 minutes and are £5.50 for up to 2 hours, the cost is then £8 for 4 hours. You can save on the cost of parking by pre booking.


Long Term parking is available, charges start from approx £10 per day (minimum stay is 3 days) if you pay on the day you arrive. The long term car parking can be pre booked, reduced prices & discounts are available if you book earlier, if you do need long term airport parking it is advisable booking in advance rather than on the day to both guarantee a parking space and save money on parking costs.
