The Charlton Shopping Centre is located a few miles away in Dover town centre, it is currently the only purpose built shopping centre in the town and has a number of independent retailers. The famous White Cliffs of Dover are located a few miles from the hotel; they are a National Trust protected site of scientific interest and among the most recognisable landmarks in the UK.

Dover Castle is located less than 4 miles away and contains two centuries of history and heritage and had played a key role in protecting this part of the coastline. The cathedral is well known as a place of pilgrimage since the middle ages and remains so. There are guided tours and audio-tours in several languages available.

Tunbridge Wells located 60 miles away, is a Georgian spa town founded in the 17th century. The town has a regal feel to it whilst enjoying a relaxed atmosphere. The Pantiles is a colonnaded walk and has a number of cafes and shops that visitors may find interesting. Antique shops in Tunbridge Wells sell these the displays of Tunbridge Ware. Other attractions in the vicinity include Bateman's the former home of Rudyard Kipling.

The Tunbridge Wells Museum and Art Gallery includes a range of exhibits of local history and culture, including Tunbridge ware, toys, dolls, archaeology and natural history. The Art Gallery contains changing exhibitions displaying a variety of art and craft including traditional and modern art and more.

Chartwell House is a manor house located approx 72 miles away; the house is best known for being the home of Winston Churchill for many years. Visitors can see the scenic gardens including the water and rose gardens that were commissioned by the Churchill’s. The house is a favourite attraction for admirers of Sir Winston Churchill and for visitors with a keen interest history and culture. The house is located in a peaceful, tranquil location in the Kent countryside making for a peaceful oasis. The house contains a range of memorabilia on Sir Winston Churchill including photographs and paintings that visitors can see when touring the house.

Knole is located 58 miles away; it is home to one of the finest stately homes in the UK, the historic house has many historic links with kings, queens, the nobility and literary links to i.e. Virginia Woolf, making the house among the most fascinating in the UK. The castle gardens with wild flowers and roses are synonymous with the best in English gardens. The castle offers visitors a wonderful sight, plenty of history and culture and a stunning backdrop.

Kent is also home to Hever Castle & Gardens, the historic castle dates back to the 13th century and is well known for its links with Anne Boleyn, second wide of Henry VIII. The impressive castle contains a number of collections in art works, tapestries, furniture and portraits. There are 30 acres of gardens including the acclaimed Italian garden, there is also the rose and Tudor gardens for visitors to see. There is also a Yew Maze, a Splashing Water Maze and an adventure playground for children ensuring there is plenty for the whole family to enjoy. .

Chislehurst Caves are located approx 64 miles away in the Kent town of Chislehurst. Here there are a series of man made tunnels stretching for approx 20 miles to form a large complex of passageways and caverns that have been dug over the years. There are three main sections to the caves Druid, Roman and Saxon with each separate section connected to the other. Visitors can take a guided tour to learn more about the caves and its fascinating history, including its role in both World Wars.

The Museum of Kent Life is located in Maidstone, the open air museum contains a number of historical buildings that have been preserved and there are a number of exhibitions that detail life in Kent dating over 150 years. There is a farmyard along with a granary and a working farm; there is an adventure play area for children too. There is plenty to see and do here including a nature trail and boat trips. The museum offers a fun and educational day out for the whole family.

Dickens World is located close to Chatham, approx 40 miles from the hotel. Here visitors can go back in time to the Dickens period and see and smell the sights and sounds of the 19th century. There are a range of attractions here including the great expectations boat ride, Britannia theatre, haunted house and many more. There is a play area for young children.
