The apartments are housed inside historic Georgian buildings that have been maintained and retain period features ensuring the apartments have plenty of charm and character. The serviced apartments offer an interesting alternative to staying in hotels, there is the service and facilities of a hotel with the extra room and privacy of apartments.

The apartments are conveniently located for Bath city centre and its wealth of attractions including the Roman Baths, The Assembly Rooms, Jane Austin Centre and Bath Abbey. The hotel is well located for Stonehenge and Longleat House & Park. The hotel is located within easy reach of Bristol, Taunton, Gloucester and Weston-super-Mare and the Cotswolds, making the hotel a good base from which to explore the West Country & South West of England.

Local transport links in the area include Bath Spa train station located a few minutes walk from the hotel. There are services to London Paddington and London Waterloo stations and other local and regional areas including Bristol, Cardiff, Taunton, Weston-super-Mare and Portsmouth. The hotel is close by to major roads including the A36 and M4 providing good road connections.

Visitors can expect a friendly welcome with good levels of service at the apartments. Facilities


There are a total of 43 serviced apartments at SACO Bath. The apartments are decorated and furnished to a good standard offering comfortable 4 star accommodation. Guests can choose from studio apartment and one and two bedroom apartments.

Studio Apartments include double bed, living area, kitchen and bathroom, whilst One and two bedroom apartments include one or two bedrooms bathroom and kitchen.

Apartment facilities include television with satellite channels, DVD player, telephone, radio, alarm clock, hairdryer, trouser press, desk, fully equipped kitchen including cooker and dish washer and tea and coffee making facilities. All apartments rooms are non-smoking.

Chargeable internet access is available in apartments. There are limited on-site car parking facilities for apartment guests, the approx cost is £12 per day. Alternatively there’re is a car park at Avon Street approx a 5 minute walk away with an approx daily cost of £13.

Dining


The serviced apartments do not include dining options. Guests can use the extensive self catering facilities with the fully featured kitchens or alternatively there is a choice of dining options in the city of Bath.

For breakfast here are a choice of eateries including cafes and bistros that serve a choice of breakfasts including both full English and Continental breakfasts.

For lunch and dinner there are a choice of bars, pubs, gastro-pubs, cafes and restaurants that offer a choice of cuisines for a range of budgets. There are fast food outlets, family restaurants, seafood specialists and fine dining establishments. There are a choice of cuisines available ranging from local British to European, Chinese, Indian, Thai and International ensuring there is plenty of choice.

Local Attractions


The county of Somerset includes the seaport of Bristol and the rural delights of the Somerset countryside, where visitors can see the English countryside at its best. Somerset includes some interesting contrasts with the gentle, rural countryside associated with much of the county to the fun filled festivals. Visitors can enjoy a relaxing quiet holiday away from it all or the trills and spills of the energetic activities on offer in Exmoor National Park.

The Quintock Hills are An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and among the most scenic parts of the UK. Located close to Exmoor, the area does not have any major towns and cites and there is plenty of unspoilt villages and countryside with a rural landscape to enjoy. The Quantock Hills offer great opportunities for walkers with a choice of interesting walks where you are likely to see some great wildlife. The scenic hills are a favourite destination for having a picnic and enjoying a day out in the great outdoors.

Somerset includes some impressive stately homes such as Montacute House, a stunning Tudor mansion that currently houses period paintings from the National Portrait Gallery. The imposing house is located just over 20 miles from Taunton.

Lytes Cary Manor is a 15th century manor located in rural Somerset. The manor is now a National Trust property, notable aspects of the house include the imposing Great Hall, Oriel Room and the Great Parlour, once the main family room with views of the gardens. The gardens offer visitors the chance to enjoy a relaxing walk in a peaceful environment. The gardens are a Grade II listed garden reflecting their importance.

Bath is among the great tourist attractions in the UK. The city is less crowded than most cities and benefits from its attractions being conveniently located in a concentrated area that can be easily navigated around by foot. Visitors to the city with find a place full of history that maintains its own unique character. The city is synonymous with the Roman Baths; Bath has a range of attractions for visitors to explore. The City of Bath became a world heritage site back in 1987 in recognition to its great historical and architectural importance. There are several famous sites includes in the world heritage site such as the Assembly Rooms, Bath Abbey, Pump Room and the Jane Austen Centre.

The best known attraction in Bath are the Roman Baths, part of the world heritage site. The home of the UK's only hot spring, the Romans built a wonderful temple and bathing complex that still currently flows with natural hot water. Visitors to this historic site can see the water's source and walk where Romans would have walked on the stone pavements. The extensive ruins and treasures from the spring have been preserved and presented using the best of modern interpretation. Visitors can use the audio guides to understand more about this fascinating site.

Historic Glastonbury Abbey is set in many acres of parkland in the town of Glastonbury, approx 22 miles from Taunton. There is speculation that King Arthur and Queen Guinevere are buried in the Abbey grounds. The grounds provide a place for tranquillity and peace away from the hustle and bustle of towns and cites. The Visitor's Centre includes a Museum with a model of how the Abbey might have looked back in 1539. Visitors can see the display of the town and a Children's Display. There is a Picnic and Wildlife Area to explore. Audio Tapes are available in multiple languages help visitors to navigate around the site at their own leisure.

Located approx 30 miles from Taunton is Cheddar Caves & Gorge a popular tourist attraction, visitors can see outstanding natural beauty here, there are cathedral-like caves and Britain's biggest gorge. There is also the famous Cheddar Man that is reputed to be Britain's oldest complete skeleton. Gough's cave is the largest of the show-caves, with 1/4-mile of cathedral-like caverns, carved out over a million years by Ice-Age meltwaters, leading to the Diamond Chamber and Solomon's Temple. There is a million-year-old river bed that was re-discovered by Richard Gough in back in 1890. Gorge Walk is a 3-mile way-marked circular route where visitors can explore the estate.

The world renowned Glastonbury Festival is held in Somerset, the first festival was held in 1970 and is now among the largest greenfield music and performing arts festivals in the world. Visitors can see a huge tented city as they arrive, over the years it has gained cult status particularly among the young and is almost a right of passage for some. The site itself includes some distinct regions; the commercial aspects concentrate around the Pyramid, Other and Dance stages. The relaxed areas are the Jazzworld and Acoustic areas, and whilst the family oriented areas like the Kidz Field, the Theatre and Circus fields.

The festival is held in a wonderful location among hundreds of acres in Vale of Avalon, an area rich in symbolism, mythology and religious traditions going back hundred of years. There are people from all walks of life that come to the festival determined to have the time of their lives, there are people young and old, from all backgrounds, nationalities and faiths and musical tastes. The atmosphere and vibe bring many people back year on year, the mellow, chilled out vibe is enjoyed by many. There is plenty of music with a huge number of bands on stage, theatre cabaret, circus and more.

Exmoor National Park is located across two counties; Somerset and Devon. Exmoor was designated a national park back in 1954, with the aim of conserving and enhancing the wildlife, beauty and heritage of the area. There is lots to see and enjoy here for visitors, there are some great landscapes to see, and there is plenty of tranquillity and wilderness evident here too.

The park offers great opportunities for walking and exploring the scenic environment, cycling, canoeing, climbing, sailing and more.
