The prime seafront location makes the hotel popular as a wedding venue and there are a range of packages available including facilities for a reception with banqueting for up to 180 guests.

The Arts Restaurant offers diners a choice of traditional British and International cuisine, there are a range of dishes to choose from including meat, fish and vegetable dishes along with a variety of tempting desserts and an impressive wine list to compliment your meal. The restaurant offers diners a place to sit back and enjoy their meals in a relaxed atmosphere.

The Arts Bar offers a range of drinks ranging from soft drinks to a variety of beers, wines and spirits. There are also a range of light meals and snacks available at the bar menu. The bar is a place where guests can relax, unwind and catch up with friends, family or business colleagues.

Local Attractions


The city of Brighton is among the most popular and famous tourist destination on the south coast. Brighton is a university city and offers a range of bars, clubs and entertainment venues making it a favourite for young people. It is also popular among older visitors and offers visitors a number of attractions, including the famous beech and pier, historic attractions such as the Royal Pavilion and St Paul’s Church, the Theatre Royal and Brighton Dome offer a range of dance musicals, comedies and drama. Historic houses include Preston Manor with its fine collections of art and furniture and Palmeira Mansions famous for its opulence, grandeur and intriguing mix of features.

Other prominent south coast towns include Eastbourne and Hastings located to the east. Attractions in Eastbourne include the beach and pier, the Towner contemporary art gallery and the Bandstand open air theatre. The South Downs around Eastbourne are an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB); there are the iconic high cliffs at Beachy Head standing at over 500 feet and offers visitors some stunning views over Eastbourne and the English Channel in the distance. The historic town of Hastings is famous for its beach, Hastings Castle, the Bluereef Aquarium and A Smugglers Adventure at St Clements Caves. Battle Abbey is located in East Sussex on the site of the famous 1066 Battle of Hastings, which helped shape English history. There is an exhibition and interactive displays outlining the battle, there is an audio tour of the battle charting key events.

The hotel provides a convenient place from which to discover a range of attractions in the surrounding East Sussex countryside, the charming town of Rye is a scenic hillside town offering a range of antique shops and historic buildings including Lamb House, a charming 18th century house where a number of authors have lived over the years.
