The hotel offers conference facilities and private rooms for personal ands social functions. There are two conference rooms that can cater for up to 150 delegates. The seafront lounge can be used for wedding receptions with capacity for up to 40 guests.

The Bar is set in a traditional style with oak beams and offers a place for guests to sit back and relax with a range of drinks on offer. There are a range of beers, wines, spirits and ales on offer along with a number of bar snacks and light bites.

The restaurant has a traditional feel with a relaxed atmosphere; there is a traditional British menu here along with a few internationally inspired items to try. The restaurant uses fresh, locally sourced ingredients and the food is freshly prepared and there are a number of tempting desserts to try. There is an impressive wine list to find the perfect accompaniment for your meal.

Local Attractions


The city of Brighton is among the most popular and famous tourist destinations on the south coast. Brighton is a university town and is a popular destination for young people with a range of bars, clubs and entertainment venues.

The city has traditionally also been a favourite for older visitors and the city offers visitors a number of attractions, including the famous beech and pier, historic attractions such as the Royal Pavilion and St Paul’s Church, the Theatre Royal and Brighton Dome offer a range of dance musicals, comedies and drama.

Historic houses include Preston Manor with its fine collections of art and furniture and Palmeira Mansions famous for its opulence, grandeur and intriguing mix of features.

Other prominent south coast towns in the area include Eastbourne and Hastings located to the east. Attractions in Eastbourne include the beach and pier, the Towner contemporary art gallery and the Bandstand open air theatre. The South Downs around Eastbourne are an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB); there are the iconic high cliffs at Beachy Head standing at over 500 feet giving some stunning views over Eastbourne and the English Channel in the distance. Hampden Park and Motcombe Gardens are also popular with visitors offering scenic open spaces and great places to enjoy a walk or a picnic.

Hastings is famous for its beach, historic Hastings Castle, the Bluereef Aquarium and A Smugglers Adventure at St Clements Caves. Battle Abbey is located in East Sussex on the site of the famous 1066 Battle of Hastings. There is an exhibition and interactive displays outlining the battle, there is an audio tour of the battle charting key events.

The hotel provides a convenient place from which to discover a range of attractions in the surrounding East Sussex countryside, the charming town of Rye is a scenic hillside town offering a range of antique shops and historic buildings including Lamb House, a charming 18th century house where a number of famous authors have lived over the years.

The hotel is well located for exploring a range of East Sussex’s attractions and places of interest and of attractions in neighbouring counties. In Kent there are attractions such as Leeds Castle, historic Chartwell House and the World Heritage Sites in Canterbury. The county of West Sussex has Chichester Cathedral, the famous Goodwood Racecourse and Arundel Castle.

Attractions along the south coast include Newhaven Fort, a popular historic attraction. The 19th century fort contains a number of fascinating exhibitions outlining both the history of the fort and the area. There are exhibitions relating to World War I and World War II and life at the fort. The large site is approx 10 acres in size offering an interesting day out for the whole family and some stunning coastal views.
