The Grand Hotel is close by to local transport links with Eastbourne train station located just under one mile away and there is good access to local bus and major roads.

The hotel offers visitors a warm friendly welcome and high levels of service and attention to detail. The hotel is located in Eastbourne where visitors can find good access to local amenities. Eastbourne town centre offers visitors with a choice of shops, cafes, bars, restaurants and entertainment venues. There are health and beauty facilities at the hotel including a health and fitness club (chargeable). There is a swimming pool, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and fully featured gymnasium. There are a number of beauty, spa and pampering treatments available.

There are facilities for business meetings, events and conferences for up to 300 delegates. The hotel is a popular wedding venue and offers wedding packages for wedding ceremonies and receptions with banqueting for up to 200 guests.

Dining


Guests can enjoy a cooked breakfast each morning along with a range of cereals, toast, fruits, juices, yoghurts and tea and coffee.

The hotel offers diners two restaurants, the first is the Mirabelle restaurant offering fine dining with the best in British and European cuisine, there are a range of meat, fish and vegetable dishes to try and options for vegetarians. The restaurant has a 50 seat capacity and offers a relaxing atmosphere where diners can enjoy the fine food and wine on offer.

The Garden restaurant is a larger restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The cuisine is traditional English with some modern twists. There is a variety of meat, fish and vegetable based dishes for diners to try and a fine wine list to help compliment your meal. There is a menu for vegetarians and the restaurant caters to those with special dietary requirements.

Our Garden Restaurant seats 180 and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily in highly graceful surroundings. The cuisine is based on the highest standards of traditional English cuisine with a modern interpretation. The Mirabelle Restaurant seats 50 and serves lunch and dinner in wonderfully warm and intimate surroundings.

Local Attractions


Attractions in the local area include the beach and pier, the Towner contemporary art gallery and the Bandstand open air theatre. The South Downs around Eastbourne are an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB); there are iconic high cliffs at Beachy Head standing at over 500 feet giving some great views over Eastbourne and the English Channel in the distance. Hampden Park and Motcombe Gardens are also popular with tourists providing a scenic setting for enjoying a walk or a picnic.

The city of Brighton is located approx 20 miles west along the south coast and offers a number of attractions of its own, including the famous beech and pier, historic attractions such as the Royal Pavilion and St Paul’s Church, the Theatre Royal and Brighton Dome offer a range of dance musicals, comedies and drama. Historic houses include Preston Manor with its fine collections of art and furniture and Palmeira Mansions famous for its opulence, grandeur and intriguing mix of features.

The hotel provides a convenient place from which to discover a range of attractions in the surrounding East Sussex countryside, the town of Rye is a scenic hillside town offering a range of antique shops and historic buildings including Lamb House, a charming 18th century house where a number of authors have lived.

Battle Abbey is located approx 15 miles away in East Sussex on the site of the famous 1066 Battle of Hastings. There is an exhibition and interactive displays outlining the battle, there is an audio tour of the battle charting key events.

The hotel is well located for exploring attractions in East Sussex and places of interest in neighbouring counties. In Kent there are attractions such as Leeds Castle, historic Chartwell House and the World Heritage Sites in Canterbury. The county of West Sussex has Chichester Cathedral, the famous Goodwood Racecourse and historic Arundel Castle.

Attractions along the south coast include Newhaven Fort, a popular historic attraction. The 19th century fort contains a number of exhibitions charting both the history of the fort and the area. There are exhibitions relating to both World Wars and life at the fort. The 10 acre site offers an interesting day out for the whole family and some stunning coastal views.

The hotel is located in Eastbourne on the south coast in East Sussex where visitors will find an interesting mix of fine coastal scenery and English countryside.
