The gallery building includes an unusual combination of a Queen Anne townhouse and a contemporary building that houses one of the finest collections of 20th century British art in the world. For visitors there are themed guided tours, talks and events available. The bookshop's speciality is on Modern British Art and includes new and old books. The historic town of Arundel is located in the heart of the South Downs in West Sussex. Arundel is famous for the Norman castle and Gothic cathedral, the quaint town is full of character and a firm favourite with visitors. It has cobbled streets, traditional tea rooms along with galleries, restaurants and specialist shops. The countryside is quintessential English with its green and pleasant land, the lush meadows and picturesque scenery make this a pretty town. The South Downs area provides many miles of dramatic scenery and some charming village pubs that are located all over this region. The town has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, it is a good place to wonder around and enjoy afternoon tea at one of the tearooms and visit the Farmer's Market that takes place in the Town Square.

Amberley Museum & Heritage Centre is located in the South Downs National Park in Arundel, West Sussex. The museum is set over a 36 acres site and includes a narrow gauge railway, energy electricity hall and a printing workshop. There are a range of exhibitions showcasing the industrial heritage of the region with plenty for visitors to see and do.

Arundel Castle is located in Arundel amongst 40 acres of grounds and gardens. Arundel Castle is the country’s second biggest castle has been home to many noble dynasties, among them the Howard family, who were at the forefront of English life and politics in the 15th to 17th centuries. Rooms open to the public include Barons Hall and the Library which are a particular highlight. The library contains paintings by Gainsborough and others. There are collections of tapestries, china and clocks and sculptures and carvings. The castle has a scenic location with classic English gardens making it a nice place to relax and take in the beautiful surroundings.

Goodwood House is located within the Goodwood Estate in Chichester, West Sussex. The impressive historic English country house includes one of the finest private art collections in the UK. A visit to the State Apartments is among the highlights to any visit here, the State Apartments are full of regency splendour. Visitors to the house have a range of things to see and do here with the world renowned race course located close by, a hotel, local farms and a golf course.

Nymans Garden are located approx 6 miles from Haywards Heath. Nymans are one of the gardens of the Sussex Weald boasting a great collection of beautiful and indeed rare plants from around the world. There is a walled garden and a rose garden, making for a relaxing stroll and impressive spectacle. The ruins of the family mansion, partly destroyed by fire can still be seen when the family rooms are open. The estate offers visitors the opportunity to experience some splendid walks in the woodland and explore the gardens. The garden is a popular attraction that attracts big crowds in summer especially at weekends and bank holidays. Admission can then be restricted if the numbers are too high, going early in the summer can avoid being affected by the restrictions.

Petworth House & Park is located in the small town of Petworth, West Sussex. The imposing mansion dates back to the 17th century, set in a 700 acres deer park landscaped by ‘Capability’ Brown. The house is well known for its very fine collection of pictures including works from Reynolds, Blake and Turner. The impressive art collection is the largest in any National Trust property. The scenic deer park provides an ideal place to enjoy a stroll in tranquil surroundings.

Pulborough Brooks is located in the South Down National Park in West Sussex. A site of special scientific interest located in the Arun Valley, the RSPB reserve includes a range of habitats including woodland, heathland and wetlands. The area is a haven for wildlife year round, visitors can see ducks, swans, geese, redshanks, butterflies, dragonflies and much more. There are a range of guided walks for visitors available.
