Tourists to the UK can visit or contact any of the various tourist information centres (TICs) to get more information, help and advice on a range of travel and holiday related areas. There is plenty of detailed information for tourists to read through, there are others services offered such as helping with booking of tours and any accommodation needs you may have. The official TICs are a very useful resources for visitors given they provide up to date information and have trained staff where they can help you gain great local knowledge and tips.

The advice and help is free of charge and is well worth seeking out if you need more information, advice or need to check something with travel experts. It can save you time and worry to get any queries you may have sorted out with the help of travel experts rather than trying to solve all issues yourself that may be confusing or difficult to sort out.

Britain & London Visitor Centre

The Britain & London Visitor Centre (BLVC) is the main tourist information centre that covers not only London but the whole of the UK and as such makes for a good resource for tourists. The staff at the BLVC is on hand to offer free advice and help on different aspects of your travel in the UK from organising and booking your trips and excursions in London to planning your trip to other parts of the UK. The staff are also conversant in a range of languages including Afrikaans, Dutch, French, German, Japanese, Russian & Swedish among others.

The BLVC is located in London's famous West End close to some of the most iconic landmarks in the capital including Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square and the world famous Oxford Street. The address is:

The opening times are:

Monday: 09.30 - 18.30
Tuesday: 09.00 - 18.30
Wednesday: 09.00 - 18.30
Thursday: 09.00 - 18.30
Friday: 09.00 - 18.30

Saturday & Sunday: 10.00 to 16.00 (Sat: 09.00 to 17.00 from Jun to Sept)
Public Holidays: 10.00 to 16.00

The BLVC is closed on Christmas Day & Boxing Day (25 & 26 Dec)

The central location means the BLVC is very assessable by public transport including by bus routes 3,6,9,139 & 159 (among others) & Tube (need to get off at Piccadilly Circus. You can use the journey planner below to help plan your journey.
