Cafe Emm is a family run restaurant, located in Soho that is well worth considering particularly for those seeking reasonable prices. The menu consists of both British and international cuisine, there are options for vegetarians too. There is a theatre menu and for those that enjoy their roasts there is a Sunday roast. The restaurant has a relaxed laid back atmosphere in which to enjoy dining, its convenient location means it is a great place to stop off at when visiting London for shopping or when seeing a show. Cafe Emm

Carnela Cafe is located in Covent Garden, this interesting cafe benefits from lots of natural light from the high ceilings evident of its original warehouse beginnings with helps it stand out from the crowd. The cafe is inspired by a mixture of both Portuguese and Brazilian dishes. There are a range of dishes to try including a fine range of baked dishes, or you can try the Brazilian stew, feijoada. There are also snacks served, the cafe used fresh ingredients and offers an interest alternative to the majority of other places close by. For drinks you can try Portuguese coffee or try one of the Portuguese and Brazilian wines on offer. The National Dining Rooms are situated in the National Gallery at Trafalgar Square, here you can not only enjoy a great British meal you can do so whilst having some wonderful views over the iconic Trafalgar Square. The National Dining Rooms have been critically acclaimed and boast a fine menu of the best of British food. The restaurant is relatively reasonably priced in comparison to some others, there is an all day bakery that caters for tea and coffee to well known British sweets, a children’s menu is also on offer. There is also afternoon tea served with a quintessentially British menu that includes favourites such as scones and cakes. There is a selection of cheeses on offer too, these include a variety of regional cheeses from the UK. Benefiting from a great, inspiring location and wonderful views this is fine place in which to enjoy fine British food, the opening hours reflect that of the gallery, meaning limited opening hours making it a good place to enjoy lunch. The National Dining Rooms

The Rivington Grill is located in Shoreditch, here you can enjoy British food in a relaxed and comfortable environment. There are whitewashed walls, wood floors and there are sofas to relax in, there is also an abundance of natural daylight that adds to the experience. The menus reflect the seasonal produce and the restaurant prides itself on sourcing from around the UK, here you can enjoy the fresh, local produce used to make some great dishes. The menu includes favourites such as fish fingers and chips, whilst dessert includes chocolate mousse and a range of cheeses. There is also a full 3 course Sunday lunch to enjoy, the restaurant has been critically acclaimed and is worth considering if you are looking for good British cuisine. Chinese Cuisine

Shanghai Blues restaurant is situated in High Holborn close to Oxford Street, since opening in 2001 the restaurant has become well known for its quality Chinese food in luxurious surroundings. Located in a Grade II-listed building, it offers diners the chance to dine in wonderful surroundings whilst enjoying top quality Chinese food. The menu is particularly pleasing for those that enjoy dim sum and seafood, the menu is inspired by the traditional cuisine from Shanghai. The restaurant displays signs of traditional Chinese designs in its design and furniture whilst at the same time having contemporary elements. There is an exhaustive menu on offer with a wide range of seafood dishes and there are a number of vegetarian dishes in both the main menu and the dim sum menu. There is an extensive wine list to complement your meal, the food is presented very well meaning a trip here is well worth considering. Indian Cuisine

Cafe Spice Namaste located in Tower Hill offers fans of Indian cuisine a place to enjoy some great tasting Indian dishes. The restaurant offers diners a relaxed environment and contemporary atmosphere where they can enjoy their food. The cuisine is Pan-Asian and in over the past decade the restaurant has earned a fine reputation from diners and critics alike for its quality food and service. Cafe Spice has an extensive menu that takes in some of the finest Indian dishes and uses influences from both Asia and Europe. Dishes are prepared using fresh ingredients cooked with herbs and spices that make for interesting dishes to try. Manicomio is located just off the fashionable Kings Road in Chelsea, it is an Italian restaurant, cafe and delicatessen. It was launched back in 2003 and has since earned acclaim from diners and critics alike. The food served is inspired by Italian seasonal cooking, using the best seasonal ingredients to make a range of appetising dishes throughout the year. The food and sauces are made by hand the traditional way, the result is a restaurant where those that like Italian food can really enjoy themselves and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere as they dine. The atmosphere that greets diners is a friendly one, the interior is a mix of the traditional and modern. There is a patio and a terrace with glazed canopy and under-floor heating particularly useful in cooler evenings. Compared to many other cities and towns London offers vegetarians and those seeking vegetarian food with some interesting places to try. There has been an increase in vegetarian restaurants in the capital, fuelled by customers wanting more choice and vegetarian options. One such is The Gate restaurant located in Hammersmith, West London. The restaurant is in a former church hall and has become one of the most popular vegetarian restaurants in London. The sloping ceilings and bright walls combined with a courtyard make for a place where you can definitely enjoy your meal and an alfresco dining experience.
