The UK is home to over 20 commercial international airports located across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

England Airports include London’s airports including Heathrow Airport; an international hub airport that is one of the busiest airports in the world offering flights to and from over 180 destinations in 80 countries around the world. London City Airport is located in the Docklands in London; it is the closest airport to central London & offers a range of short haul flights to & from Europe. Gatwick Airport located in West Sussex is the world’s busiest single runway airport and the second largest in the UK after Heathrow offering both short haul and long haul flights around the world. Birmingham Airport is centrally located in England providing good access to a number of regions; Whilst Manchester and Liverpool Airports provide good access to the north west region & offer a choice of domestic & international flights.

Scotland Airports include Edinburgh Airport providing both domestic flights & mainly short haul international flights. Glasgow includes Glasgow Airport; that caters for domestic, short haul and long haul international flights. Glasgow Prestwick Airport also offers international flights and connections. Aberdeen Airport is the other main airport in Scotland located on the east coast. There are a number of other regional airports including Inverness offering access to the Highlands and the more remote parts of northern Scotland.

Wales Airports includes Cardiff Airport; currently the only airport in Wales to offer international scheduled flights, there are both domestic and international flights to over 50 destinations.

Northern Ireland Airports include Belfast International Airport that largest and busiest airport in Northern Ireland, the airport caters for both domestic and international flights. Belfast’s second airport is Belfast City Airport located close to the city centre, there are domestic flights across the UK and short haul flights to Europe. The City of Derry Airport is located north of Belfast a few miles from the city; there are flights to other UK destinations along with short haul flights to Europe.
