Facilities
There are a total of 20 guest bedrooms offering en-suite facilities. Guests can choose from standard, superior, king size, four poster and family, some rooms offer scenic views towards Fife and others to the private gardens.
The guest bedrooms are designed and furnished individually offering comfortable 3 star accommodation. Room facilities include television with cable channels, telephone, radio, alarm clock, hairdryer, iron and ironing amenities, luxury toiletries and tea and coffee making facilities.
The hotel’s rooms are all non-smoking in accordance with hotel policy.
There is free Wi-Fi internet access available at the hotel. There are no car parking facilities available on-site, the NCP car park at the St James Centre in Elder Street is located under 10 minutes walk away, the approx cost is £20 per day.
There are facilities for business meetings and video conferences and for private functions such as weddings with banqueting facilities for up to 120 guests.
Dining
Each morning guests can enjoy a hot full Scottish breakfast or a Continental breakfast with a choice of breads, preserves, cereals, fruits and hot and cold drinks.
The dining room serves Scottish cuisine with a range of dishes for diners to try. There are a range of meat, fish and vegetable dishes, with vegetarian options available upon request. Guests can choose from the impressive wine list to find the perfect accompaniment to their meals. The historic dining room retains its Georgian features and offers an enjoyable dining experience for guests.
The dining room overlooks Queen Street Gardens making for a wonderful location. Dress code for the dining room is a jacket and tie for dinner from Monday to Thursday and other days smart casual for men and equivalent for women.
The hotel bar offers guests a place relax and unwind with a choice of drinks available. Drinks include a range of beers, wines, spirits, cocktails and the famous Scotch whisky. It is an ideal place to catch up with family, friends and colleagues.
Local Attractions
The city centre location means visitors have great access to the various tourist attractions and places of interest that are located across the city. Historic sites such as the Palace of Holyroodhouse and Edinburgh Castle are easily assessable, famous streets such as Princes Street, George Street and the Royal Mile are all close by.
The hotel is located in Boxworth close by to Cambridge where visitors will find the renowned Cambridge University, shopping facilities, art galleries, bars, restaurants and entertainment venues. The hotel is a convenient place from which to explore the attractions in the City of Edinburgh and the surrounding areas in the Lothians region. The A90 and A902 offers access to Edinburgh International Airport located approx 8 miles away by road.
