Getting To Bristol Airport

By Public Transport

Train: There is no railway station at the airport, the closest mainline station is at Bristol Temple Meads that is located around 7 miles from the airport. From there travellers can catch the Bristol International Flyer express coach service that connects you from Bristol Temple Meads to the airport with a frequency of 15 minutes at peak times. Bus & Coach: Buses run from Weston-Super-Mare to Bristol International Airport, the bus calls at a number of stops on the route, the frequency is around every 2 hours from around 06.30 to 16.00 on weekdays, separate timetables apply at weekends & public holidays. National Express coaches operate services across the South West and South Wales regions to Bristol Bus Station. From the bus station you can connect to the Bristol International Flyer to get to the airport. For further details please see:National Express Coaches


By Car: If travelling from the North: Get off the M5 at junction 18 where there are signposts for Bristol & the airport & take the A4 towards Bristol, you can follow the signs for the airport. Drive past the Bristol City Football stadium and then take the A38 towards Taunton, the airport is located 8 miles to the south of Bristol off the A38.

If travelling from the South: Get off the M5 at junction 22 & take the third exit at the roundabout signposted A38, drive until the East Brent roundabout and take the second exit signposted A38 & airport, continue driving for 11 miles where the airport will show on your left.

If travelling from the East: On the east M4 at junction 20 join the M5 southbound, drive until junction 18 & get off here, take the A4 going towards Bristol & follow the signs for the airport. Drive past the Bristol City football stadium and take the A38 towards Taunton, the airport is located 8 miles to the south of Bristol off the A38.

Airport Car Parking

Bristol airport has facilities for both Short Term & Long Term Car Parking. Short term car parking charges start from £2 for up to 60 Minutes stay going up to approx £17.00 for 12-24 hours stay. There is a rapid drop off facility where you can park for free for up to 10 minutes if you are dropping off someone or picking them up after they are out of the terminal building. The cost is then steep so if you need to stay for longer for any reason it is better to put the car in the short term parking.

Long Term parking is available the price is approx £17 per day is you book on the day. Cheaper prices are available if you book earlier, if you do need airport parking it is well worth booking in advance rather than on the day to both guarantee a parking space and save money on parking costs.
